The 46th Annual Northwest Open is the longest running racquetball tournament in Washington State, and if you’ve ever been to one you know why that is! This event has been a highlight of the year every year, and its a fantastic way to test out your game before State Singles!

Can You Donate Items for the WASHINGTON JR RACQUETBALL
We’re looking for gift certificates, food, wine, sports items, jewelry, glasses, kitchen items, computer software, games, and more! These baskets will be out at the Northwest Open in Bellingham in March and at State Singles in Seattle in April.
All Proceeds go to the non profit WJRA which provides equipment for junior players as well as money to help pay for entry fees and travel expenses to tournaments.

Washington State Singles is just around the corner!
Entry Deadline: Friday April 1, 2016 or Sunday April 3, 2016 if you sign up online.
Tournament Dates: Friday April 8-Sunday April 10, 2016
Location: WAC in beautiful downtown Seattle
Parking: You can park in the WAC garage! If they are full then there are many other garages in the blocks surrounding the facility.

We’ve seen juniors at several events so far this year: Tyler Stewart, Jaden Miller, and Christopher Chow competed in the 12 and under division at the Wilson Hope Tournament at the Bellingham Athletic Club. Christopher Chow and Ogdon Waggoner competed at the MOPS Shootout at the Everett YMCA.
Then, at the Fall Classic in Bellingham Washington, there was a great Junior turnout featuring Tyler Burns, Michael Miller, Christopher Chow, and Brenna Guthrie.
It was great to see them on the court and we hope to have a large junior participation at the January Winter …

All week this week two of our Washington Juniors, Jake Birnel and Hollie Scott, will be competing at the Junior World Championships in the Dominican Republic as representatives of the USA Junior Racquetball Team!
Sunday, Hollie Scott and Lexi York defeated the Honduras team 15-8, 15-10. Jake Birnel and Sam Bredenbeck defeated the Bolivian Team 15-7, 15-3.

Bellingham Athletic Club is offering a Junior Racquetball Camp on July 20-24, 2015. The camp is taught by Professional Instructor, Wanda Collins, Junior Nationals player, Hollie Scott and Racquetball Director, Jessie Scott. The camp consists of: Racquetball basics – strokes, serves, off the back wall shots, game strategy, foot drills, speed and agility exercises, camp t-shirts and a mini tournament to wrap up the week on Friday.
