WRA ELECTIONS are LIVE (CLOSED)

The WRA Board of Directors have announced the approved slate of candidates for the upcoming 2024 Board of Directors election, and voting has already begun. Write-in candidates (including self-nominations) will be accepted under advisement for consideration at the annual election meeting.

Voting information, opening and closing dates of the election, requirements appear here and are also available online.

Online voting opens Monday July 1, 2024 at 8:00 pm PST. And closes on Wednesday July 31, 2024 8:00 pm PST. Ballots will be counted at the annual meeting (online) currently scheduled for Sunday August 11, 2024. Election results will be announced within 10 days of the annual meeting.

There are two free ways to submit your vote. There are no charges incurred for voting. Choose one of these options only.

1. Electronically, please go to the VOTE tab or click the VOTE button below to cast your vote. This option is for current members of USAR only. If you are not a member, or if your membership is expired, you can initiate or renew your membership before voting.

2. Submit an email to Elections@washingtonracquetball.org. List your choices of candidates by position from the list below. This option is for racquetball players residing in Washington state who are not current active members of the USAR.

According to WRA Bylaws, Board members must satisfy a USAR Background Check, Team USA SafeSport Certification, USAR Level 1 Referee Certification within 90 days of the election. Additional details about the WRA and Board positions can be found in the WRA Handbook.

According to WRA Bylaws, if ADDITIONAL BOARD MEMBERS for positions not listed above are to be elected to increase the size of the Board, this will be done during the Election Meeting / Annual Online Meeting scheduled for August 11, 2024.

According to WRA Bylaws, if the membership does not ratify any candidates for a position, the Board members currently holding that position shall resume the operation of the Association in that position so long as they continue to satisfy the requirements. Also, any vacancy on the Board may be filled by an affirmative vote of a simple majority of the remaining Board members, even if less than a majority of the Board. A Board member so elected to fill a vacancy shall complete the unexpired term of his or her predecessor in office.
