We have added players to the tournament and are now at capacity. The addition of the new players changed the start times that were posted Monday night. Please double check your times to make sure that you don’t miss your matches.
Because we are guests of Harbor Square, I ask each of you to be gracious with the staff and the members and of course your friendly tournament director and fellow players. You will be asked to sign a second waiver at the club when you arrive. Please be patient with the staff during the process. Please keep your gear out of all walkways to avoid trip hazards. Please be good examples of our sport because we cherish access to private clubs like Harbor Square. If you have visitors coming to watch you play, please make that clear when you enter the club and sign the waiver.
Please arrive in ample time to get warmed up in other areas of the club; at least 20 minutes before your scheduled matches. As soon as one match finishes, the next one will begin with a maximum 2 minute on court warm-up running concurrent for both players. Doubles maximum warm-up time will be 2 minutes per team. Losers will stay assigned to that court to referee the following match.
While I shouldn’t have to say this for Open/Elite/A players, please remember that all USAR / WRA sanctioned events follow the published rules of the game unless specifically modified. This includes wearing appropriate eyewear approved to the standards and includes on-court warm-up times.
Lastly, please remember that we have maximized court time and there is no room for slow starts between matches. If we start running behind, it may be due to little delays earlier in the day. Please do your part to keep the tournament flowing efficiently and always be ready to get going in your matches.
