Being the first tournament ever for both the Competitive Edge and I, the Mt. Rainier Open was a great experience and a lot of fun. This was due to a lot of fantastic people; Ken Ruth and John L Scott brought in the prize money for the winners. Ken I owe you more than I could ever repay, you were my right hand all weekend long and I couldn’t have done it without you. Sparks Firehouse deli has delivered great food to each of my events.  Neal Heggan thanks for putting up with me and the hundreds of phone calls, without all your help it never would have gone so smoothly. Karen Kiilsgaard busted butt to get sponsors for this event, a huge thank you to her and Jason’s restaurant and Lounge in Puyallup. Nicholle Jaquith you were a life saver jumping in and doing anything we needed and taking pictures.  Arun thanks for all the hard work you’ve put in at both clubs and the great pictures. So many people came together to make this tournament a huge success. If I have forgotten someone I’m sorry but I appreciate everyone who helped make this tournament possible.

This tournament felt like a huge group of friends getting together to socialize and play the sport we all love, this was due to all the players who kept play times on schedule. You are all what made this tournament so great.

And last but not least my wife and daughter in law, without them the feast we had Saturday night wouldn’t have been so grand. It was a great meal I love you and thank you so very much. A special thanks to all of the players, without them events like this wouldn’t be possible.

Well I have to add my two cents about the dinner for Saturday night. It was awsome and I want to thank Donalds wife and family for all their hard work and delicious food. It was a great lunch Sunday too. ;o)
Donald, Neal, Arun, between the three of you, working the draws and that friendship among players that kept them wanting to help, it really did make things go smoothly. Especially when working between two clubs.
I look forward to next year being a bigger and better tournament. Will try to get a few more $$ to be able to intice other pros to come and see the kind of tournament we can put on.
Is there spell check here. :):):))
